BiographyWilliam Crother Fitler was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1857. He specialized in American landscapes. C.W. Fitler painted though out the Northeast and became very fluid in the Watercolor medium. His studio was in New York City. Fitler was a tonalist landscape painter and most of his works depict views of New York, Connecticut or Long Island.
