Blackfoot artist and muralist.

Victor Pepion was born on the Blackfeet Reservation and attended the reservation's Holy Family Mission Boarding School. Pepion went toSalem Oregon Chemawa Indian School from 1939-40. In 1941, he created a series of murals at the Museum of the Plains Indians, Browning, Montana. He studied under German artist Winold Reiss. Pepion attended the Los Angeles Art Institute. In 1946-48 he studied art t the University of Oklahoma, University of NewMexico, Montasna State University. He earned a BFA from the University of South Dakota and a MA from Highlands University in Las Vegas, NV.

Pepion taught art at Oklahoma's Chilacco Indianb School from 1950-1951 and Arizona Phoenix Indian School from 1951-52
