James Robert ValerioAmerican, b.1938
James Valerio was born in Chicago in 1938. He is a photorealist painter of landscape, figure and portraits. Valerio was educated at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, receiving a BfA in 1966 and an MfA in 1968. He is art professor, teaching at Northwestern University in Evanston.
