ASIAN

The Philbrook Asian art collection is particularly strong in Japanese paintings from the Edo Period (1615-1868), which were part of the famous Shin'enkan collection of Oklahoma oilman Joe D. Price. Other major gifts that form the core of this collection include Southeast Asian ceramics from the Gillert Family and Chinese ceramics and carvings from the Taber Family.
