AMERICAN

Philbrook’s collection of American art includes fine examples of eighteenth to twenty-first-century art ranging from early colonial portraiture and romantic landscape painting to American Impressionism and Regionalism. A founding commitment of Philbrook was to exhibit prominent examples of American art reflective of our rich national and Southwestern heritage. Recent acquisitions support this commitment, including 15 paintings by N.C, Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth and 20th-century masterworks from the Taos Society of Artists and Santa Fe Art Colony, part of the Eugene B. Adkins Collection, a rich and diverse collection of western American art.
